SWDP Plan Review Publication Consultation
Public consultation on the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review Publication Consultation (Regulation 19) was approved by each of the South Worcestershire Councils in October 2022. This draft version of the Local Plan is known as the Publication Plan.
The consultation begins on 1 November 2022 and closes at 23:59 on 13 December 2022
Regulation 19 consultation is specifically seeking view on the following:
- Legal Compliance – does the plan meet the legal requirements made under relevant legislation?
- Soundness – has the plan been positively prepared, justified, effective, and consistent with national policy?
How will this effect the Parish of Elmley Castle, Bricklehampton & Netherton?
Within the plan is 27 residential units proposed on land at Millend Racing Stables. This land has undergone detailed assessment before being proposed to be included in the Plan.
It is likely there will be mixed feelings on this proposed development and the Parish Council will be holding a Meeting to discuss their response to the Plan. This meeting will be a public meeting and there will be opportunity to for the Public to speak on the matter.
The meeting will be held at Elmley Castle Village Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday 30th November 2022.

This is the last opportunity to make comments to the SWDP Review before the Plan is submitted for Examination. Any comments received at this stage of the consultation will be forwarded with the Plan to the Inspector.
